Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan

Project Update (October 14, 2009)
• The plan will be presented to City Council in a staff report on November 17, 2009.
• Adoption of the CFHMP will be in December along with adoption of the City’s Hazard Mitigation Plan

• Citizens interested in serving on the Flood Management Advisory Committee may contact the City's Project Manager, Stephen Hitch at 425-556-2891.
• The final Comprehensive Flood Hazard Management Plan is posted on the Documents page.

News Alert!  Floodplain Mapping Project Starting in April 2009

King County is starting the effort to improve information about flood hazard areas along the Sammamish River.  Soon, consultant survey crews working for King County’s River and Floodplain Management Program will be out along the Sammamish River in April to conduct a river survey that will be used to update federal flood insurance rate maps. Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

The City is in the process of updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Adoption of the CFHMP will be in cooperation with that process.
