Project Location: Downtown
In June 2009, the City contracted with a local consultant to prepare a
master plan for this park site. The consultant will be conducting a
visioning process with the Parks and Trails Commission, Arts Commission,
and Landmarks Commission in July and August. Through this process the
commissioners will advise the consultant on general park concepts,
themes, as well as a vision and goals for the master plan of this park.
In September, there was a public meeting where the consultant sought input from the public on the preliminary park concepts.
In October, another public meeting was held to discuss the Draft Master
Plan design, which was presented to the Parks and Trails Commission
in November. The meeting presentation materials are provided in the project document library.
The final master plan is being developed and will be submitted for SEPA
review during the spring of 2010.
