This section provides information about the various codes that regulate building and land uses in the City of Redmond. These include building codes, the Redmond Municipal Code, fire codes, the Zoning Code and Redmond Comprehensive Plan. The Document Library has some of the same information, and is also a good reference page.
Building Codes
The City of Redmond does not have its own Building Code. The Washington State Building Code Council determines, through legislative action, which building codes will be used by the local jurisdictions throughout the State of Washington. The following are the current National and WAC applicable construction codes, regulations, and local amendments. PDF copy of the current codes and design requirements.
For additional information on the Washington State Building Codes or to download the Washington State Amendments, go to the Washington State Building Code Council website.
