Cleveland St Sewer Realignment

Cleveland St Sewer Realignment

As part of the City’s annual wastewater maintenance program, it has
been determined that the original concrete sewer pipe in Cleveland
Street, in the vicinity of Leary Way, has settled in three locations. The
settlement identified has reduced the capacity of the sewer main
and is requiring additional maintenance to keep it operational.
To correct the settlement issues, the three sections will be removed and reconstructed into proper alignment.

Beginning Monday August 5, for approximately six weeks, Cleveland Street will be closed to through traffic weekdays from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. between 161st Ave. NE and Leary Way for construction activities to realign the sanitary sewer in Cleveland Street and to provide for daily off-load of materials and equipment for the construction of the Old Town development.  Two lanes on Cleveland Street will be available for through traffic during non-working hours.
