As a part of the City of Redmond’s effort to improve the quality of local streams and enhance habitat for fish and wildlife, the City will be constructing the Tosh Creek Realignment and Culvert Replacement Project in 2013. This project will relocate approximately 600 feet of stream channel into its historic location while enhancing in-stream habitat and adjacent uplands. The stream culvert under West Lake Sammamish Parkway will be replaced with a wider, fish passable culvert (and an access culvert on King County property downstream will also be replaced). Project benefits include enhanced fish habitat, reduced maintenance and flood control.
Work is expected to begin the first part of July and be completed by the end of the year.
