Description
Join us for our 3rd year with a new course! Redmond's Great Day of play is a family friendly 5K run/walk perfect for beginners and seasoned runners. The race will be chip-timed and there will be awards for top overall Male/Female as well as age group awards for 1st place.

Packet Pick-up
There will be packet pick-up 8/22 at Road Runner Sports Bellevue. Exact time TBD. Packets will include technical t-shirt, timing chip, and goodies from participating vendors.
Awards
One pair of running shoes awarded to top overall male/female.
Prizes awarded to fastest time for 1st place male and female in each age group.
Age Groups
Ages 15 years and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

The race starts and finishes at Redmond City Hall on the Sammamish River trail. Runners will head SE along the trail onto the Bear Creek Trail. Slight left at 168th Ave NE, Right turn on 170th Ave NE, Left on NE 74th to the Heron Rookery Trail. Runners will reconnect with Bear Creek Trail and run back to City Hall. Course will be marked and volunteers will direct runners. There will be one aid station on the course. It is suggested beginner runners bring a water bottle. Course support and chip timing will be from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Trail is paved; wheelchairs, baby joggers, and dogs allowed. Please park in the City of Redmond Parking Garage, 8703 160th Avenue NE. Posted signs will direct you to parking locations as well as the start/finish line.
