Redmond, WA – Redmond residents with an interest in the future growth and character of the city are invited to apply for an upcoming vacancy on the Redmond Planning Commission. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council and may serve up to two four-year terms.

The Commission’s role is to make recommendations to the City Council regarding planning policy and land use regulations. This year, the Commission will work on a number of important issues as follow up to the City’s 2011 Comprehensive Plan update, including completion of the 2012 Transportation Master Plan, updates to development regulations and policy issues related to housing and neighborhood planning.

Planning Commission meetings are held at 7pm on Wednesday, typically three times a month, and are cablecast live on Redmond City Television.
