The Redmond Senior Center (RSC) is celebrating the release of the Redmond Sophisticated Swing Big Band’s first CD on Friday, September 16 from 1 to 3:30pm. The RSC is located at 8703 160th Ave NE.

Dance to the live music at our regular Friday dance and then take home a CD for a small $12 donation. Proceeds go to purchase risers for the band and chorus. All donations come back to the RSC to support programs.

The band, originally started by Walt and Helen Kittler as the Swingin’ Seniors, has been the musical standard at the Redmond Senior Center for over 20 years.

This 18 piece swing & jazz band play all the old favorites from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s in the style of the famous big bands such as Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. Redmond Sophisticated Swing Big Band has a strong following of dancers and listeners, turning out to enjoy their music at monthly dances, as well as their regular practice sessions.
