Citizen Surveys
The City of Redmond is interested in the thoughts and opinions of its residents.  In 1998, the Mayor's Office developed a Citizen Satisfaction Survey to coincide with the biennial budget process.  While the survey has been updated over the years, this tool has proved invaluable at helping to shape the budget to the priorities of its citizens.

Originally the survey was conducted by telephone, but with an increasingly diverse population a multi-modal in approach of mail, web and telephone is used.  The survey is administered and analyzed by an independent research organization -- currently The Gilmore Research Group of Seattle.
