City of Redmond Working to Adopt Marijuana Regulations

Redmond, WA - In response to the passage of Initiative 502, the City of Redmond is working toward adopting permanent regulations for all marijuana related uses within Redmond city limits. City staff will be holding office hours to provide information and field general questions and comments from the public. Marijuana uses include the production, processing and retail sale of marijuana, marijuana- infused products, and marijuana paraphernalia.


City staff will be available the following dates and times to meet with the public to field questions on the first floor of City Hall in the Bytes Café located at 15670 NE 85th Street:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Jan. 30, from 2 - 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

In addition to hosting office hour discussions the City will also conduct a public hearing.

Extending Interim Land Use Regulations and Official Controls for Collective Gardens and
Other Marijuana-related Uses Enacted by Ordinance No. 2682 Until September 2, 2014.

The City of Redmond City Council will hold a Public Hearing in the City Hall Council Chambers, 15670 NE 85th Street, Redmond, Washington, on February 4, 2014, at 7:30p.m.
or as soon thereafter as possible on:

SUBJECT: The purpose of this public hearing is to take testimony concerning extending the interim land use regulations and official controls for collective gardens and other marijuana-related uses until September 2, 2014, as provided by state statute, RCW 35A.63.20 and RCW 36.70A.390.
