Redmond, WA - The public is invited to join Sound Transit and City staff for an open house that will debut design concepts for the Overlake segment of the East Link Extension. The East Link effort is part of the extensive Link Light Rail project, which begins construction in 2015 and is targeted for completion in 2023.

The meeting will take place November 19 from 6 - 8 pm, at the Ardmore Elementary gymnasium (16616 NE 32nd St., Bellevue). There will be a presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Future light rail riders, transit center users and community members will have an opportunity to look at design concepts and submit feedback on the Overlake light rail segment and stations.

Once completed, the East Link Extension will afford riders a fast, frequent and reliable connection from the Eastside's biggest population and employment centers to downtown Seattle, Sea-Tac Airport and the University of Washington. Ten stations will serve Seattle, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Bel-Red and Overlake in Redmond.
