Overview

The City is planning for the development of a signature Downtown park that will create:
- A place for the city to gather and celebrate
- A vibrant community space that encourages special events, arts, music and fun
- Park and open space for new residential growth in the downtown
- A way to pull Redmond Town Center and Historic Redmond together
- An urban park that will stimulate economic vitality in downtown

These are early conceptual drawings of the Downtown Park. These are concepts only and not finalized. Community input will be solicited before plans are finalized.

The park will be located next to this intersection.

In 2009, a site selection process was completed and acquisition started. Acquisition is nearly complete and the first acre of property is the grassy area between Redmond Way and Cleveland Street adjacent to 161st Avenue NE. Short and long term planning for the park are underway.
